2016 marks the American Evaluation Association’s (AEA) 30th Annual Conference and is taking place on October 24-29 in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Evaluators, evaluation scholars, students, and evaluation users from around the world are invited to assemble, share, and learn from the successes of the international discipline and practice of evaluation. Themed "Evaluation + Design," the 2016 conference will focus on integrating design and evaluation in three areas: 

  • Program Design
  • Evaluation Design
  • Information Design

Trauma-Informed Evaluation

Thursday October 27, 11:45 AM - 12:45 PM

This session invites attendees to discuss what Trauma-Informed evaluation can be, and offers an opportunity to connect with others who share this interest.

Designing Successful Recruitment Strategies for Hard-to-Reach Populations

Friday October 28, 5:30 - 6:15 PM

Barriers of trust, language, disabilities and distance create challenges to evaluators seeking to recruit participants and gather perspectives. This session will focus on how to successfully recruit and engage these populations.

The Role of Evaluation in Designing Social Impact Measurement in the For-Profit Sector

This session will dive into the emerging world of social enterprise, using project examples to illustrate how evaluation is informing the design of these efforts.
