Karissa joined The Improve Group with an excitement to both broaden and deepen her evaluative skillset by continuing to build on a foundation in research. Karissa’s Master of Social Work and research experience outside The Improve Group give her a unique perspective on how programs and policies work on the micro-level, while also being able to think systematically about the “big picture.” Because of her education in social work, she is especially interested in supporting mission-driven organizations that help make the world a better place. She is passionate about making sure evaluation findings are useful and used.

Beyond the Bio

Karissa is a newcomer to Minnesota and is working hard to find the best food and beer in the Cities. During the long winter months, you can find her with a heated blanket and a good book.

I love evaluation because … if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing well!
